Back from hibernation

While the Dutch countryside is technically still waiting for spring, we decided that winter hibernation was officially over for this Ingolstadt powerhouse. Cover off, battery check and tyre pressures set: We’re good to go. Press the start button, the 540bhp V10 fires into life with a roar, instantly setting the tone. Pre-select: Drive!

With the top down and the (still quite fresh) air rushing in, the sound of the V10 echoes through the fields and the moment instantly feels cinematic. We have really missed this. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission shifts seamlessly, delivering effortless power as we drive towards our favorite coastal hide-out in Egmond aan Zee. Carefully dodging some nasty potholes on the gravel-paved parking, we wouldn't want to damage those fine looking custom forged alloy wheels. Pre-select: Park.

Pulling up to this café is more than just a caffeine stop. The car's distinctive design and deep, ground-shaking rumble of its V10 cannot help but draw attention and soon a couple of petrolheads casually join us.
